Chocolate truffles Xmas Hack

How to make assorted chocolate truffles

You will need:

  • Baking paper
  • Baking tray  
  • Metal bowl
  • Saucepan
  • 50 grams of crushed peanuts
  • 15 chopped glace cherries
  • 400 grams of milk chocolate
  • 1 cup cocoa powder, sifted
  • 60ml thickened cream


Step 1: Fill a saucepan with water and bring to simmer on a low heat on the stove. Place the chocolate in a metal bowl and place over the saucepan, melting slowly.

Step 2: Take the chocolate off the heat and combine gently with the thickened cream.

Step 3: Portion the mixture out into thirds.

Step 4: For the first third, mix in crushed peanuts and roll even tablespoons into bite sized truffles.

Step 5: For the second third, mix in the chopped glace cherries and roll even tablespoons into bite sized truffles

Step 6: For the final third of the mixture, roll even tablespoons into bite sized truffles and roll to coat in cocoa powder.

Step 7: Put the truffles in the fridge to set.

TIP: Follow this same recipe with dark chocolate to add extra variety to your gift.
