Coconut Coffee Scrub
Made up of just 3 ingredients, this at-home coffee scrub is super easy to whip up and takes just a few minutes. Made with equal parts sugar, coffee and coconut oil, simply mix all 3 together until you get a sludge-like consistency.
This scrub can be used on either the body or face - simply work it into the skin gently in order to help boost circulation and exfoliate away dead skin cells for radiant results.
TOP TIP: Make extra and store it in a glass jar in the fridge for multiple uses.
Oatmeal Face Mask
We love a good DIY face mask and who knew that oatmeal is one of the best ingredients to use on our faces.
This mask includes ingredients you may already have on hand in your kitchen: egg, brown sugar, oatmeal and plain yoghurt. To make: simply combine
1/2 cup hot—not boiling—water and 1/3 cup blended-up oatmeal and leave to settle for a few minutes. Finish by mixing in 2 tablespoons of plain yoghurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and one small egg white until you get a spreadable consistency. To use, simply apply a thin layer and leave on your face for 10-15 minutes before washing off.
If you don't use it all at once, put what you have left in the fridge and use within the next few days.
Strawberry Lip Scrub
We love this tasty lip scrub because it includes only 3 ingredients, all of which again, can be found in your kitchen. Simply mix raw sugar, coconut oil and mashed-up strawberries (so you get a jam-like consistency) together, making sure all the sugar is evenly dispersed.
Once all the ingredients are mixed, store it in a glass jar and use it by scrubbing your lips in a circular motion for two to three minutes - feel free to lick.
Epsom Salt Foot Soak
Once sandal season is over, our feet often get neglected as we start swapping out thongs and sandals for ankle boots and knitted socks. For softer soles in no time, give your feet the attention they deserve with this simple foot soak.
Both therapeutic and nourishing, this soak softens soles whilst also reaping the calming benefits of a bath in half the time (and half the water). There’s no need for an electronic foot spa - just a large bowl or bucket that you can comfortably fit your feet in.
Simply mix the juice of 3 fresh lemons, 1–3 cups vinegar (white or apple cider) and 3 cups of Epsom salts into some warm water and sit back and unwind.
Feel free to mix up your ingredients to whatever you wish, such as by adding ginger and lemongrass for a more invigorating aroma or essential oils for a more soothing quality.
